报告摘要：

The peculiar properties of black holes have been becoming longstanding challenges for the fundamental theory of physics, which include their thermodynamical behavior, singularity problem and information loss paradox, while recently the direct detection of astrophysical black holes has announced the coming of a new age for understanding the nature of spacetime and its geometry. In this talk we present a general review on fundamental problems in black hole physics including some recent progress from the theoretical perspective.

报告人简介：

凌意，中国科学院高能物理研究所研究员，博士生导师，中国科学院大学岗位教授。美国宾州州立大学博士学位，曾在南昌大学与同事组建相对论天体物理与高能物理中心。研究工作主要集中在量子引力、黑洞物理、宇宙学和理论高能物理等领域。曾兼任引力与相对论天体物理学会副理事长等职。
